New Student Interview

All prospective students are required to come for an interview. The interview takes approximately 30 minutes.

The interview allows both parties to get to know each other a bit and to see if our personalities and goals are a good fit.

All students will have a mini lesson. Mrs. Steffen will ask lots of questions and ask students to try different things such as learning a short piece by rote, playing back short tunes and rhythms and demonstrating any theory knowledge. Students who are transferring from another teacher will be expected to play a piece or two that demonstrates their skill and interests.

Parents and students alike will have the opportunity to ask questions.

If we decide we're a good fit, the parent will complete an enrollment form and sign both a studio policy and tuition agreement. After that, we can determine an appropriate lesson time and the parent will pay the annual materials fee. This non-refundable fee will hold the student's spot in the studio.

NB: All students are expected to have a functioning acoustic piano in the home before starting lessons.
